Thunder Desert GP - motorcycle racer

I'm working on a game for Ouya that is a remake of my PC racing game Grand Prix, but with motorcycles instead. In this sense it is inspired by games such as Pole Position, Super Hang On, etc. It is being programmed in AS3 (Flash) and the Starling framework. Controls will be the left and right thumbstick for steering and throttle/brake, while maybe allowing for digital controls too, using the directional pad and a few buttons.

In this game the player has to try and complete a number of laps (for example, 8 laps to win the gold cup) before the time is up. The amount of time available for each lap gets smaller as you progress.

There is a lot of work still to be done, at the moment I have the scrolling road, player bike and opponent bikes (although they all look the same for now), as well as some background and road side scenery, and engine sound.
