Remaking Old Game Maker Project to OUYA ("A Basic Platformer with some Shooting")

This is an old game that me and my partner started a while ago in game maker. We lost the original game project file, but we still had some of the art assets (the Player and the walls and floor). We decided to revive the project.
We never finished a game before, but we hope this will be our first. We already have plans on how to go about development. We have the game currently working on PC, but are ordering an OUYA. We don't have any plans at the moment on releasing the game on PC because Steam Greenlight is a bit of a Hunger Games for game developers. I already downloaded the OUYA development kit, and it is just a matter of time before we get our hands on the OUYA.
We wanted to know what are your initial thoughts on the art in the game? We are going for a 16 by 16 tile system. We did this because we like pixlated style games. It is kinda like beauty in simplicity. Tell me what you think.
