Hi all!
I recognise that this place has been pretty quiet lately, but given that this is where it all started, I figure it's worth dropping a line.
Myself and my artist/co-designer have been working on a game for Ouya on-and-off for what now feels like forever, and it's finally getting released for any gamepad-ready platform that we can get our hands on - although, given that the Ouya is the console that inspired the development way back when, we decided it's only fitting that we release here first.
The game is called Muzzle to Muzzle, and it's a 4-player 2D arena shooter along the lines of TowerFall or Duck Game, although with a slower and more methodical pacing - pitting 4 characters (or 'Critters') against each other with an unforgiving single shot musket, melee attacks and cover mechanics. We also built in an easy to use play-as-you-create Editor that lets you create your own maps (or 'Habitats') and play them across three gametypes (Last Man Standing, Deathmatch and King of the Jungle) along with a whole load of other features and habitat-interaction to discover and play with.
We're planning on releasing the game for free on Ouya on the 29th of February with 8 Habitats and 4 Critters - with continued support, free DLC as well as some premium DLC packs of Critters, Habitats and tile sets for the Editor.
