Wrestling Revolution

"Wrestling Revolution" is the leading wrestling game on mobiles and now it's the first on OUYA - which is the only place you can enjoy it as a gamepad-controlled multi-player sim! Featuring dozens of wrestlers in the ring at once and hundreds of fully interactive weapons, the game's performance is also redefining what the OUYA can do. And all in an accessible 35mb download, which costs just $5 to "turn pro".

The project was made in Adobe AIR using their "GameInput" extension. I must also thank @GaslightGames for making in-app purchases possible within the first month of OUYA's release!

If you don't feel like installing the game, there are lots of videos to check out online.

Miss Honey Dripps - A. . . something game I think?

*Extremely early in development*

"Honey "Honey-Doll" Dripps is a workerbee who lives in under an opressive rule of the Queen.
She's a rebel, and is building a rebel army, and together they must overthrow the Queen and her treachurous rule!"

. . . It's a work in progress, but it's a pretty neat concept I suppose. It's basically a 2D platformer with a lot of colours and such. As an experiment, I wanna go full retro and develop a Genesis/Super Nintendo build of this game alongside teh Ouya build.

I plan to implement a variety of gameplay styles, ranging from a side scrolling shooter/platformer, to an faux-RPG, to those treasure hunting levels in Sonic Adventure 2.(Except not as dreadful)

I think this will be a very interesting game, but it's still in extremely early conception. I also plan to do a couple of side-quels, if you will, exploring more of the lore if this world which I have yet to create.

This will be the first game developed by me, and I think it'll be a lot of fun! What do you guys think? What kind of genres should I explore? Can we go into space? I'd like to go into space, but what about you?

Duplicity - An OUYAcreate Entry

A two player falling blocks puzzle game. Every piece is both a block and open space at the same time.

I've had this idea in mind ever since the OUYAcreate jam was announced. I wasn't sure if I would be able to put it together in time due to other projects and plans. Monday my schedule was freed up and having lived through a few Ludum Dares, I started jamming away. I ended up with a playable prototype that I am pretty happy with.

Let me know what you think!

Please hurry up and release the ePSXe emulator

In talking with the developer, it is my understanding that it's in the queue waiting for approval. In my humble opinion, this is the best PS1 emulator available. Hopefully, we can get it up in Discovery soon.

Hi everyone,

I am super excited to announce the release of my first game on the Ouya platform: Avoid This Asteroid!. It's already available via the Ouya Store, and you can try it out for free! It has been made in Unity.

A.T.A. is a simple yet fun arcade local multiplayer game. The mechanics are very straightforward: Command your spaceship skillfully, avoid dangerous asteroids and collect items to help you score more points than your rivals -but hurry, the last one will get axed at the end of every round!

Genre: Arcade/Pinball, Play w/Friends, Retro

Twin Robots

Hi!

I'm working on a 2.5D platformer for web + android, and I'll port it to OUYA as soon as I get mine this March! :)

image

In this game you'll be able to control the 2 twin robots you seee above (that's NOT ingame) to find the exit to each level. You can switch control between the two at any time, in fact you'll need to do it in order to be able to finish the levels! Also, both robots are battery-powered so they'll eventually need to recharge since they waste energy with every action they perform. So you'll be running, jumping & solving puzzles toghether to find the exit on each level, all that while you watch out for their battery levels!

Here are some ingame screenshots:

And here you can see them in action:

Of course, I'll keep this thread updated as well.

'Nyan Cat!' has been released!

The first official Nyan Cat game has been released on Ouya! I co-created this game with Nyan Cat creator Chris Torres back during the image's sudden jump to popularity. We intended to create a simple, fun, quick game to make Nyan Cat more then just an internet meme, creating new characters and enemies like the ever-supportive Love Bot and, my personal favorite, Fiesta Dog.

The free download gets you the original set of characters and 2 modes. In Nyan Stop, which is an interactive version of the famous video, and Ice Cave, in which you fly through a frozen comet, avoiding ice ice sickles that push you back toward the dreaded, deadly, end of the screen. For $1.99 you unlock 2 new game modes, Sky Attack, which plays like a side-scrolling shoot-em-up without the shooting-em-up, and rainbow ride, where you ride a jet stream away from an exploding star's blast wave.

[RELEASED] Addiction.

$

Hi everyone!

Recently I made a game about addiction, and how it feels to me. It's a short, metaphoric game, and I'd like it to reach as wide an audience as possible, because I think that many people might feel identified.

So, my question is:
Is it worth publishing it on the OUYA store, even though it's just a 5-minute game, or would that be just shovelware?

Thanks in advance.
Best regards,

Borja

Hipster Zombies [RELEASED!]

Hi there.

We're currently busy porting our android title Hipster Zombies to Ouya. Before I spend too many words explaining the game, here's a trailer that gives you a good look at the game. Basically it's a shooter, where you move up and down behind your barrier, defending your neighborhood from the incoming horde of hipster zombies.

image

To help you with this task you have access to a set of weapons and as you dispatch the zombies they drop ammo and coins. The latter can be used to upgrade your arsenal, unlocking new guns and improving the ones you already have.

The game was developed using Unity, by us. We're Sharkbomb Studios, a two-dude team from Germany. Here's some more eyecandy:

Rotherhithe

Hey all, I'm working on a multiplayer (2-4 player) arena game called Rotherhithe. It's kind of an abstract geometric style, and the game style is all about capturing territory. I've been playing around a lot with the actual mechanics, this video is the latest iteration, although I think it's getting quite close to being done. So the way it works is you have to collect these balls from around the arena which you can then shoot at your opponents, they can deflect or volley them back at you if they're quick enough but they lose territory if they get hit. The first player to cover the entire arena wins.

I'm hoping to have it done in the next couple of months, but I'm pretty bad at estimating this stuff :)

VLC Media Player For OUYA Released Today On Discover!

Hi guys, Moonlight Studios here.

With a little bit of work, me and some friends from over at OUYA Forum
were able to port the Android version of VLC over to OUYA with full controller
support.  It's still in beta, and a little bit buggy, but still runs quite nicely and
plays a bunch of different codecs. Go download on Discover now!

What can VLC do that others can/can't?

- Play all you videos with different encodes, some cases up to 1080p! We have confirmed that
some people can get 1080p videos working butter smooth, while others can only get up to 720p.
Regardless, it seems to perform better than XBMC overall.
- Play music in backgroud! You wanna listen to your tunes while emulating PC Engine or playing
Muffin Knight? Use VLC! All your music can be started in a loop and played in the background all time!
- Play Music/Movies Right From Thumbdrive/USB! That's right folks, just put your movie on a USB thumbdrive that OUYA supports and watch away!
- Ton's on Codec compatibility! VLC has TONS on compatibility with different video/audio codecs, these include, but are not limited to MP3, MP4, MKV, MPEG-2, DivX, H.264, WebM, WMV, ISO, and more
- Open Source! Have any suggestions or want to help with the development of VLC OUYA? Let us know!

enyo - a new 2 player casual puzzle game

$

I am finishing up work on my game Enyo, a 2 player, single system, competitive arcade/abstract puzzle game.

There is a tutorial, a quick battle mode, and a tournament mode where you can specify a variety of different parameters, such as how many rounds to play, whether to play to a score target or a time limit, etc. Basically I'm trying to make a fun little game you can play with a friend, room-mate, girlfriend or boyfriend or whatever.

In this game, both players control the same object, a red ball in the center of the screen. One player can only move the ball up and down, the other player can only move the ball left and right. There are black and white balls flying across the screen, and one player is trying to get the white balls, the other player is trying to get the black balls. It sounds pretty confusing, but everyone that has played it so far has gotten it in just a few seconds and the feedback I've received has been really positive, everyone seems to enjoy it.

I plan on submitting it for certification probably in the next week or two. Thanks for checking it out!

Hey!

The game im working on at the moment is called "Worm from Hell" (I need help coming up with a good name)

Currently its mostly just a remake of JTRs original Death Worm, if any of you have played that one.
Im making this as a smaller scope game to get used to the ODK and because I really love the original and want it on the console.

Gameplay video:

Featuring music from Street Fighter 2 :D

Game mechanics are in place, but graphics and features are not completed (many sprites are temporary).

The game probably wont be released until right before launch, because I wasn't a backer and wont get my OUYA until then (I was an early preorder)
