Amazed - A Puzzle Game

Hey guys,

I'm working on a Unity game called Amazed. It's a single player puzzle game where the goal is to get both balls on to their respective goals on each board.

The game will be out for iOS, Android, Ouya, Mac App Store and eventually Windows Phone 8.

You can see 2 videos of it in action here. 1 on the Ouya, 1 on Android.

I would expect it to be finished in 2 weeks or so.

Add in app purchase for iOS

Add in app purchase for Android
Extra sound effects (I'll post a new video with sound effects tonight)

Hi, as most of you will know i'm currently pushing to get a demo of Kill Khaos on the Ouya for August, with the full version out sometime in 2014, but thats not all i'm bringing to Ouya.

My team are also looking to bring the following titles to Ouya as i have already made them and just need a quick makeover/polish before we release to Ouya, anyway these are the games.

Freefall (Ouya Exclusive) full game will be $2

you have to jump from a hot air baloon and free fall past everything from birds to wind currents before pulling your chute and trying to land on the target below.

I made it around 6 years ago but never released it so thought its time for a spruce up and a heck more levels, we are going for the look of Mario 2 mixed with Tiny Tower, no idea how the will look but it sounds good lol.

Fort Wars (Ouya Exclusive) full game will be $2

This is something i made 4 years a go after playing a homebrew game called Castle Wars on my NDS. I made as me and my Wife played it a lot while she was pregnant in Hospital, i felt i could do my own spin on it and we liked it far better.

The basic premise is it's a 2 player only card game, you both have a castle and you both play from the same deck (unlike Castle Wars). You have 3 types of resource and the goal is to spend your resources on either destroying there castle or building up your own to win. The cool twist is i have added a shuffle button which shuffles the deck meaning if you see your mate has got a chance to use a card on his next turn which would smash your castle you can shuffle the deck which may or may not work as you could end up with even worse cards and this deck is yours to play from too. Any how once again just a little bit of polish and we will release the title.

Brick-Alanche (Ouya Exclusive) full game will be $3

This hasn't started production yet but it will be a fast paced Breakout game with a few twists like timers and falling bricks giving it a Breakout VS Space Invaders feel.

Hey there Ouya, I am working on this platform retro style game.
The game is being developed using multimedia fusion
an application similar to game maker.

It's a somewhat rip off of the old mario, sonic and adventure island;
but unique enough to be its own game. I'll be uploading a demo soon.

(This video's a bit old now. I've toned down movement speed and started working on changing the background tiles since it was recorded.)

I've been working on this for about a month and a half now and, over the past few days, I've been making the, initially painful, move to Ouya where I feel it'll fit a bit better than on PC. Now that it's finally playable, I decided I should post on the dev forums.

At this point, due to the excessive use of particles, performance has been a bit low so I've been working on that. Might have to lower the screen size since, right now, it takes the size of the TV and calculates the nearest integer scale to the size of the TV.

I'd really been hoping the name would be temporary but I haven't come up with a better one yet, so for now it's sticking. >.>

I'm always looking for testers so if anyone's interested, let me know and I'll post the APK.

And then here's the list of features I've got so far:

* Deathmatch and King of the Hill modes
* 20+ playable wizards
* 5+ stages
* Support for creating custom stages with their own tilesets and music (this is probably not making it onto Ouya unless I can find a reliable way to allow players to import their own assets).

Lastly, since I've seen some talk about engines being used, I'm using Haxe, OpenFL, and HaxePunk.

Just submitted my platformer game Wilson's Adventure, fun little game where you have to rescue Jane from the tribal leader. Defeating bosses, dodging obstacles and chasing down the tribal leader.

Hipster Zombies coming to Ouya

Hi there.

We're currently busy porting our android title Hipster Zombies to Ouya. Before I spend too many words explaining the game, here's a trailer that gives you a good look at the game. Basically it's a shooter, where you move up and down behind your barrier, defending your neighborhood from the incoming horde of hipster zombies.

To help you with this task you have access to a set of weapons and as you dispatch the zombies they drop ammo and coins. The latter can be used to upgrade your arsenal, unlocking new guns and improving the ones you already have.

The game was developed using Unity, by us. We're Sharkbomb Studios, a two-dude team from Germany. Here's some more eyecandy:

Falling Asleep (Ouya Exclusive)

Hi guys,

Me and my team was looking to release the title Freefall but after a day of thinking the game is going to turn into way more then just a straight port.

The game will now be called Falling Asleep and thats what your doing! Falling while asleep.

I haven't thought up too much more other then your dreaming on your bed attached to a giant balloon and then you wake up jump out of the balloon and it's kind of business as usual as you have to land on the target below, but as are dreaming it will open the game up to have crazy backgrounds and obstacles to overcome as you fall.

Each time you land the alarm clock goes off...but your still asleep a bit like Ground Hog day i guess.

Anyway below is some sketches of the main character with a kind of Tiny Tower/Mario feel.

Saga Heroes Action RPG

Hey everyone, just thought I'd finally announce my OUYA game. It's an Action RPG called Saga Heroes and is based in the world of the MMORTS called SAGA (www.playsaga.com). There may be some tie-ins that allow you to earn things for your SAGA nation, but I haven't decided on what just yet.

Anyway, the view is top-down, the gameplay is similar to Torchlight on the Xbox, but will not be a graphical spreadsheet, as in when you get a weapon or some armor, there is a decision to be made. There will be a central town, and instead of a dungeon, there is a quest map where you go on scripted missions to get loot and other rewards.

Here is 30 seconds from the current Pre-Alpha build within the Unity Editor:

I will be posting an APK to test out soon.

Also, I run SAGA, and so I have access to the art and story. This will be an official SAGA branded game made in association with Silverlode Interactive (all credit where credit is due and licensing is acquired/used properly).

Alien Siege

Hello everyone I am new to Ouya and thought I would introduce myself and the game I hope to release in the near future.

Currently porting over from Xbox Live indie to Android phone and Ouya, I hope to have my game Alien Siege released on Ouya within the next month or so. Just need to finalise my android release and then add gamepad control, resolution changes and two player modes for release on the Ouya.

We are complete with our latest game called Snailboy. Releasing for IOS and Android AUG/SEPT 2013. We are in the process or ordering an OUYA console from the UK and will start development for it early Sept. Wrecking Balls Arena - 4 Player Arcade-Style RTS (OUYA Exclusive)

Wrecking Balls Arena is an arcade-style RTS being developed by Team Kakumei EXCLUSIVELY for OUYA. Up to four players take control of teams of four "wrecking balls" in a battle to the death across 7 surreal landscapes. Each wrecking ball is managed individually as you command them to attack, block, heal, grab items, and more. If you're not efficient and quick enough, your wrecking balls will meet a swift defeat!

The game features a unique art-style, consisting of hand-drawn graphics displayed through a fish-eye lens, as shown in the our demo video:

The game is being developed in Unity3D, and we're planning for a May 2013 release. Let us know what you think so far! Any comments, suggestions, criticisms, etc. are welcome. 

Minigore 2: Zombies running on OUYA

We first dipped our toes on OUYA with Ice Rage. Now we're working on porting Minigore 2: Zombies for OUYA and only after two days of work our coder Erik managed to get the OUYA version to build up and running:

The basic gameplay runs very smoothly and feels great on the gamepad but overall the game still needs lots of work to get the menus, sounds and fonts working properly.

Foresight - Weather forecasts on your Ouya

Not a game as such, but my Ouya app Foresight has just been released onto the store.

Introduction
Designed exclusively for Ouya, Foresight allows you to view local weather forecasts directly on your television.

Using the Forecast.io API (created by the developers of Dark Sky for iOS) it provides minutely, hourly and daily forecasts. Not all locations support the minutely resolution, however Foresight will always give you the more accurate data which is available.

We are currently developing our first game for iOS/Android/Ouya scheduled for release in October 2013.

99 Waves to Die is a twin stick arcade shooter, inspired by the arcade games, and 8-bit home consoles/computers, of the 1980′s.

Remember when video games used to be insanely difficult?

When you used to spend £’s in the local arcade trying to get the high score?

When having your three letter initials/acronym at the top of the table meant you were the king?

Well we do, and that is why we are creating 99 Waves to Die.

I am currently working on two games for the OUYA. Once is a retro type game influenced by the old asteroids game. The other game is called Zombie Run, it's a different take on a zombie game. I won't give the game play away, but I can say that it's a 2D side scrolling up to 2 player game. It will have some comedy in the game play. I'm just gettting up to speed with programming for the OUYA, so no release until later this year. I'm always looking for someone to help out with my games, so if you got time and skills please let me know. 

Edge Of Eternity High Quality J-RPG for Ouya

Hello,

I'd like to present the new game of my company "Edge Of Eternity".

The game is a J-RPG with Final Fantasy turn based combat. Our game target Ouya, All mobile platforms, consoles and desktop platforms. We also want to do something as impressive as "Epic Citadel" on it's time with UDK mobile, we want to show the real potential of Unity on mobile with optimized shaders and quality artistic conception.

First of all sorry for my english we are french.

A little about plot :

The peaceful world of Heryon is threatened by an alien civilization that have invaded the world, they bring with them a disease who turn people and animals to metal monsters. 

Daryon and Salvia, our heroes share a common burden, when they meet themselves for the first time in the little village of Elon a weird thing happened and they now both have a necklace with a Crystal and mechanics parts, having something technlogical is a huge crime on Heryon and the Consortium judge people using technology by death !

Even if it's the first time they met Daryon and Salvia are constrained to flee to escape the Consortium and now they are after their origins to understand why they have these stranges necklaces that they cannot remove.

The situation on Heryon is getting even worse day by day. The metal disease have travelled on the Astryan continent and animals are starting to turn into hybrid mechanic monsters.

The game actually run well on Ouya on 720p @60+fps, we can run it on 1080p but framerate drop to 30fps we prefer to conserve our visual quality and add MSAA ;).

We're still in early prototype we're working on it since 2 month, character is not finished.

We will be soon on Kickstarter (September) more informations soon :).

Hey All,

I just wanted to pop in and thank Eddie K, Ouya forum Admin, for adding my game, Averix, to the site. Much appreciated man! Also, to make a quick announcement that yeah, this is real. My team and I are working very hard to get things going. I'm kicking out new 3D models/assets each day so we can get closer to finishing our goals. So, as a thanks to Eddie K, I posted a few screen shots of models I created after work today. I'm currently working on the "Legendary Sword" tomb, which is one of the dungeons in the game. I'll be back soon to post further updates in the future. Enjoy!

So, a little detail on the photos. The pillars are for statue knights that will be posing on top of them. Who knows, some may even come alive and try to take you down. 0.o Oh, and that big room with the rubble on the floor? There will be two pools of water in that room to provide some awesome effects as you take down your enemies. Who knows, it may even assist you against some Fire Elemental baddies. Oh, and those windows... It looks like a nice size for waves of monsters to come crawling out of that to attack you, eh? OK, that's enough hints for one day. But of course, I just gave you a few hints on ONE room. Hehehehehehehe.....
